Lenni, Pennsylvania – October 27, 2016 – DermaMed Solutions, one of America’s most innovative skincare and wellness companies, growing beyond aesthetics into total health and body care through their “whole-istic” approach, today announced Darnell Wise as the company’s new Vice President of Sales.
 
“Darnell brings a level of experience with both capital equipment as well as skin care, knowledge of which is vital to the continued growth of DermaMed Solutions,” said Mark Pinsley, President and co-owner of DermaMed Solutions. “His expertise with sales and marketing in the skin care, aesthetics, spa and salon sectors adds a new level to our senior management team. Darnell knows a lot of people in the industry, from physicians and medical spas to aestheticians, salon and spa owners, and his ability to build a national sales team will help our company to the next level of awareness and success in those key client markets.”
 
Prior to joining the team at DermaMed Solutions, Wise was most recently the Vice President of Domestic Sales, Medical & Spa Division, for Domina Skin Care (Rome, Italy). He built a national sales organization to launch the Italian brand with U.S. physicians and medical spas, and was responsible for revenue growth of the company and expanding brand awareness of Domina in this country. During his tenure with Domina, he increased sales by 100 percent in the U.S. over a two-year period, and built a team of 14 independent sales representatives in key markets. Wise also built a new distribution channel for the brand with physicians and medical spas throughout the U.S., while managing relationships with existing clients.
 
Wise was Regional Manager for Renew Advantage (Twinsburg, Ohio) in the Mid-Atlantic Region (New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Maryland) from August 2012 to January 2014. At Renew Advantage, he was a practice management consultant with a focus on the Cosmetic/Aesthetic medical industry, and managed a n ational customized patient reward program for aesthetic physicians. Previously, Wise was National Sales Director for Light Age, Inc. (Somerset, New Jersey), a leading global provider of laser hair removal, tattoo removal and aesthetic products, from 2007 through 2012. In that role, Wise led a team of 10 of 10 sales representatives, Independent sales representatives and distributors in the U.S. which resulted in sales in excess of $12 million annually, and increased the company’s sales by 25 percent in the period from 2009 to 2012.
 
His career in the skin care and aesthetics industry began in 1999 at NeoStrataCo. (Princeton, New Jersey), developers and marketers of a comprehensive range of clinically-proven, dermatologist developed skin care products. As Director of Professional Sales from 1999 through 2007, Wise was responsible for overall sales and sales team management; oversight of an inbound customer service team; key account development; and sales P&L responsibility for five dermatologic brands. He consistently exceeded product sales quotas and objectives while upholding product positioning message and corporate integrity. Wise successfully seeded, launched and sold in and sold-through over 15 new products nationally to physician’s offices and managed care groups including Kaiser, Cleveland Clinic, Marshfield Clinic, Mercy Health Group, and Prescription Solution. He also developed and maintained close professional relationships with influential ‘key opinion leader’ physicians in dermatology, plastic surgery, OBGYN, primary care and family practices.
 
Wise is a 1993 graduate of Philadelphia Biblical University (now known as Cairn University) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work. He is a Certified Trainer of Professional Selling Skills and a Certified Professional Sales Coaching, and resides in Chesterfield, New Jersey.

Announcing The Latest Recipient of our Aesthetic Education Award, Elizabeth Henrikson of Utah’s National Institute of Medical Aesthetics

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – October 5, 2016 – DermaMed Solutions, one of America’s most innovative skincare and wellness companies, growing beyond aesthetics into total health and body care through their “whole-istic” approach, today announced the latest recipient of the DermaMed Solutions Aesthetic Education Award.

Elizabeth Henrikson, an aesthetic student at the National Institute of Medical Aesthetics in South Jordan, Utah, has received $1,000 towards her education expenses from DermaMed Solutions, to support this future aesthetician interested in a “Whole-istic” approach to skincare.

DermaMed Solutions has recognized two students annually with its Aesthetic Education Award since 2014. Applicants must be interested in attending or already enrolled at an accredited esthetic program, express their passion for the skincare industry, and share the core values of DermaMed Solutions. The winners each receive $500, with a bonus of an additional $500 if the selected student attends one of DermaMed Solutions partner schools. Partner schools are required to promote the program by placing award information and the application link on the school website, and distributing the DermaMed Solutions Aesthetic Education Award flyer in financial aid packets. 

The next deadline for the DermaMed Solutions Aesthetic Education Award nominations is Tuesday, January 31, 2017. Students must submit an application on DermaMedSolutions.com and a 1-2 page typed essay or a 3-5 minute video explaining their desire to become an esthetician. Skin Inc Sits Down With Owner Ginger Hodulik To Discuss The Nutrition of Beautiful Skin

Ginger Hodulik earned a bachelor of science degree in foods and nutrition and a master’s degree in nutrition from the College of Saint Elizabeth (New Jersey). She earned the certified nutrition specialist designation from the Board of Certification of Nutrition Specialists. Hodulik is a member of the Center for Nutrition Advocacy and a volunteer with the American College of Nutrition. Her professional affiliations include the certification board for Nutrition Specialists, and the American Nutrition Association. She also serves on the legislative outreach committee for the Certification Board for Nutrition Specialists A popular public speaker on a variety of nutrition topics, Hodulik has presented to a variety of organizations nationally. Her subjects have included nutrition for healthy skin; natural skin care products; wellness program engagement strategies; health coaching; behavior change strategy; the critical role of vitamin D in health and cancer prevention; and nutrition for women (particularly during peri-menopause and menopause).

Ginger has also written articles for Skin Inc, such as, Fruit of the Vine: The Mighty Grape and Skin Synergy: Topical and Oral Nutrition.
