Post Peel Tips
Our In-House Aesthetician, Tracey, shares some post peel tips.
With our medium strength peels, no major shedding is expected afterward. The skin has renewed radiance, smoothness of texture, and is well prepared to receive the active ingredients of treatment products. Occasionally a client may have some passing flaking on the cheeks or chin, which a little extra moisturizer typically takes care of. The goal is to improve the skin progressively with as little negative side effects as possible.
- It is important to stay out of the sun as well as avoid other irritants (such as chlorinated pools, hot tubs, or saunas) for at least 24 hours after their aesthetic peel service.
- Prescription topicals should be avoided for a week, while over the counter active topicals can be resumed after 24 hours or as recommended by the Aesthetician.
- Wear a non-chemical sunscreen of SPF30 everyday year round, along with a big floppy hat and sunglasses when in the sun.
